Large traditional pub that has an excellent range of real ales on offer.
From the main entrance there is a horseshoe bar opposite. The pub has plenty of seating throughout with table and chairs and a small raised area to the front.
It attracts locals, shoppers and business people with the real ales available and a reasonably priced menu on offer. The pub is bright and airy with large bay windows to the front. Live sports are shown with premiership football matches featured.
The decor is of a traditional style with a wooden bar and part carpet/tiled floor. There are modern style fixtures and fitments throughout. There are several widescreen plasma tv's located throughout the bar with sports shown. The pub has a comfortable feel to it at most times of the day and with the real ales on offer it makes a good place to spend a few hours sampling the beers.
Regular music is on play at most times. Events on offer include a quiz night on a Wednesday.
