Review:

Medium sized traditional pub that has been a popular venue in Gosforth for many years. The pub has two entrances to the front and rear with a long bar to the right hand side. There is plenty of seating throughout with high tables and chairs and leather backed seating.

Live music is a regular feature every Friday with live acts advertised in the bar. A juke box is located beside the bar and music is on play at most times. There are several TV's and games machines dotted about the pub. Live football including Newcastle matches are shown on a big drop down ccreen. The decor is a bit tired in places and there is old pictures of Newcastle adorning the walls. A pool table is located at the rear of the bar.

The pub attracts is busy at most times with a steady crowd of regulars and locals. It can get very busy when the live music events are held in the bar. Parties can be arranged on request in the bar.

Disabled access is very good with the bar all on the one level. Toilets are small and reasonable
