Review:

Medium sized pub that is part of the Original Pub Company chain The pub has been refurbished to a much higher standard. This is in part due to its due to its proximity to the Gate. The exterior has been given a complete facelift and there is now a long wooden bar with a part carpeted and wooden floor. There is an abundance of seating throughout with tables and chairs in every area with a greater emphasis on providing meals.

The decor is a mixture of cream, pale green and terracotta colours with some modern abstract pictures on the walls. The pub is bright and airy with large windows to the front and side. There are some games machines dotted about the bar. Live sports is shown on a large drop down screen in one corner with forthcoming matches advertised in the bar. Resident DJ Friday and Saturday with regular music on play at other times. Karaoke is a regular feature on a Thursday night. The pub is very busy during the day with locals, business crowd and shoppers and is busy on most evenings throughout the week. Cash back facility available.

Disabled access very good as the pub is all on the one level with a disabled toilet at the rear. Toilets are small and clean and in reasonable order.

Price:
Very Reasonable.
