Brinkburn St Brewery is a small, independent brewery based in Byker, with it's own bar & kitchen, creating and serving great-tasting, locally brewed beer.
The bar which used to house the Maling Factory is located on Ford Street and offers an extensive range of Brinkburn Street keg and cask beers. Access to the main bar is down a flight of stairs where the Brinkburn beers on offer area displayed on the walls. There are two bars where the cask and keg beers are served. Next to the handpulled beers bar is a small tunnel that leads from the bar and was used previously when the building was occupied by Maling. The Brinkburn brewery is sited on Hume Street. There is plenty of seating throughout the bar for diners and drinkers. Regular music on play at most times. Live music is featured in the bar on certain nights. An small outside beer garden area to the rear area is used in fine weather. The bar attracts a mixed crowd of beer enthusiasts, locals and students and those people attending the live music functions. It can be busy at most times with a lively and comfortable atmosphere and is very popular with the excellent range of beers on offer. Disabled access to the main bar from the rear outside area is very good. Toilets are small and clean with designated disabled toilet. Price: Moderate. |
