Traditional medium sized pub
with an L shaped bar and two main entrances that
both lead on to High Bridge. The pub has recently reverted back to it's former name Duke of Wellington.
It has an excellent tradition of serving real ales and
there are several on offer with beer festivals held regularly. There is plenty of
seating throughout with wooden tables and chairs and
ample standing room around the bar. The pub has a wooden floor and old pictures of
the Duke of Wellington and Waterloo adorn the walls.
The pub is frequented by
real ale drinkers, locals, and people on a night
out. It is a very popular pub which is always busy at weekends and during
the week. Quiz night Monday from 9pm with free buffet. Several widescreen TV's are located throughout the bar which
feature all live sports and football. Regular music is on
play with a juke box in one corner near to the
toilets.

Disabled access good to main bar
but can be difficult to toilets which are small and
reasonable. A newspaper rack is to be found close
by the toilets.
Real
Ale drinkers paradise.
An
excellent pub for Real Ale and wines.
Price:
Reasonable.
