70's theme bar
that was formerly known as Circus Circus and is one
of the most lively bars in the Bigg Market scene.
The decor is a mixture of bright coloured patterns
with psychedelic flashing lights. There is a long
metallic bar that runs the length of the pub with an
abundance of bar staff at all times. There would be
no problem with service. The bar staff are all
dressed in glitter style outfits with wigs and
flares.
A party atmosphere prevails at all times
with some of the staff dancing by the windows and
behind the bar. There are 70's fixtures every where
you look with revolving platform shoes, stars,
guitars and cylindrical glass balls on the ceiling.
Regular music is on play with the DJ located in a
booth opposite to the bar. He is dressed in the
traditional John Travolta type suit. There are
numerous TV's throughout with some games machines.
The bar has a large standing area with limited
tables to the centre.
At the rear there is a small
seating area that is partly carpeted with leopard
skin chairs. Near to the door there is a raised
dance floor area where resident dancers perform at
certain times. Look out for the flashing signs
"Don't Walk-Boogie" inside and outside the pub.
The
bar will be a popular attraction with it's excellent
music and atmosphere. It should be busy on most
nights and especially at the weekend, mainly
attracting the younger crowd.
There is a £2.00
entry charge from 10.30pm - 2am Friday & Saturday.
Disabled access is very good with a designated
disabled toilet. The toilets or "Dudes and Chicks"
are small and very clean.
