Newcastle Megapub.
Large pub with gothic styled fitments throughout and
Old Newcastle memorabilia in glass cases. Dark
subdued lighting and dark tinted windows give a
comfortable and cosy atmosphere. Very popular pub
with a mixed clientele of locals, businessmen,
commuters, shoppers. Very busy at most times.
Plenty
of seating with high tables and small booths with
wooden seating. There is an ornate wooden revolving
rack in the centre of the bar displaying some of the
drinks prices.
Live
music
on selected nights. Resident DJ Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. The lower and upper bar has several TV's
dotted about. Live Big screen sports shown. Regular
music on play with a juke box located on the wall
opposite the bar. A pleasant cosy pub with a good
atmosphere.
Disabled access to main bar good but
difficult to toilets that are down a flight of
stairs. Toilets are small and clean.
Price:
Reasonable.
