Music:
The resident DJs play on a Thursday, Friday and Saturday giving a relaxed upbeat atmosphere until 1am.
The soundtracks have always taken seriously, and they have been working on a mix of alternative and feel-good records with a great bunch of music collectors and DJs.
A Coda sound system has been installed for clarity and depth of sound, so even when we dust off the Creedence, Prince or T-rex it sounds the way it should, giving you the ultimate Friday 5pm clock off experience.

Leading Newcastle-based leisure operator on track for seventh opening. Newcastle-based leisure operator Crafted Projects has announced the development of its latest concept, the Gunner Tavern; a modern take on the tavern, offering quality pub classics in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere in the heart of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

The pub, which is taking shape within the old site of Gotham Town, will offer an extensive range of craft beers, as well as a comprehensive range of gins, whiskeys and killer cocktails.

Alongside this, the fully-refurbished tavern will be serving up an exciting all-day menu, including spit roast meats, as well as an impressive range of vegan and vegetarian options.

Leading into the evening, an upbeat pub soundtrack is the order of the night. Local DJs will play every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night, playing a mix of alternative and feel-good records all the way through until 1am.

Opposite the city's Central Station, the pub is named after the Gunner Tower, a medieval structure that once stood as part of the town's defences.

Set over the ground floor, elements of one of the city's most-loved pubs, Gotham Town, have been retained.

From the two main archways, to the original fireplace and bar front, every detail has been carefully stripped and restored to its former glory.

Crafted Projects Director, Barry Ladhar, said: "We're really excited to be launching our latest concept, the Gunner Tavern, this July.

The site is going to be a fantastic addition to our portfolio, and after the success of sister site, Central Oven & Shaker, we're really looking forward to opening another site opposite the City's bustling Central Station."

"We've taken some of the best bits of a traditional pub and put our own stamp on them. From the exciting new food offering to the expansive selection of drinks on offer, the Gunner Tavern will appeal to a wide range of people; whether it's afternoon drinks, a bite to eat or late-night drinks into the early hours".

The pub will be operating a total of 18 keg lines and five casks. There will also be a rolling selection of Pilsners, local craft beers, one-off IPAs and stouts. Inspired by the venue's sister site, Pleased to Meet You, there will also be an exciting range of gins on offer, including fruit, London, Old Tom, small-batch and experimentals.

The Gunner Tavern opens with an exclusive launch event on 25/07/19. More information is available at gunnertavern.co.uk.
