The Hancock pub, located on Hancock Street, reopened on Monday 17th September 2018 following an extensive two week refurbishment, giving the Newcastle bar an exciting new look.

Renowned as a hub for students, locals and sports fans, the new look Hancock offers a tasty new food menu for visitors to enjoy at the easy-going tavern.

Guests can now tuck into freshly made stone-baked pizzas, 21 day aged steaks, mouth-watering 'low and slow' meat and rib options, as well as mix & match tapas options.

Joining the new food menu, punters will also be greeted with a thirst quenching and extensive drinks menu, one which boasts a wide selection of craft beers, ales and ciders.

Visitors to the Hancock will be able to enjoy the new drinks offering whilst taking in traditional pub entertainment such as live sport, bar games, plus regular quiz and music nights.

Speaking about the refurbishment, general manager at the Hancock, Tom Stabler, said; "It's been brilliant seeing the pub come together over the last couple of weeks and we can't wait to welcome everyone who comes to pay us a visit.

"We've completely regenerated the bar, giving it a whole new look and feel, whilst still retaining the traditional atmosphere that made the Hancock so popular. The team and I are very excited to see our guest's reactions over the coming days! "We're ideally located, right in the heart of Newcastle, and our pub is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a bite to eat. The revamped menu offers delicious fresh food providing something for everyone to enjoy, including all the pub classics as well as the brand new freshly made stone baked pizzas.

"Along with the improved menu we have a fantastic new selection of drinks, including a great range of craft beers and ciders. We also have an exciting entertainment offering, making the Hancock the perfect place to hang out with friends, family and colleagues.

"So, when you're next in the area and need a minute to take the weight off your feet, be sure to stop by to take advantage of our amazing food deals and see what the new look Hancock is all about!"
