Review:

Medium sized pub on two floors. On the first floor there is a rectangular bar that has a good lively atmosphere. The pub has a cream and red coloured decor with low drop down lighting, that gives a cosy and inviting feeling to the place. There is plenty of comfortable seating in a small raised area at the front with some seating by the bar. There is also additional leather backed seating with tables and chairs to the rear of the pub.

The decor is very smart and there are framed pictures advertising forthcoming music events and music themed pictures displayed on the walls. Regular music is on play at most times. There is a bar downstairs where Live music is a regular feature on a Thursday - Sunday. This room has a small rectangular bar at one end, wooden flooring and sofa type seating, with some tables and chairs. This is also used as a family room at times when meals are served.

The pub attracts a mixed clientele of local, students and business people. The pub can get very busy on most nights especially when live bands are playing. The basement bar is available for hire at free for parties. It can take up to 150 people for any kind of party. Catering can be arranged from buffets to a sit down meal.

Disabled access is difficult as the bar is up a flight of stairs. The toilets near to the main entrance are small and clean.
