A smart
cafe bar in the Gate complex that is on two levels. The bar has a
glass fronted exterior that gives a bright and airy feel to the
place during the day. From the main entrance a small bar is directly opposite and
there is a staircase to the right hand side
that leads to the upper level.
The decor is of a
modern design with maroon and cream colours and a wooden
floor throughout. There is spotlighting to the ceiling and smart lighting fixtures on the walls.
There is plenty of seating upstairs and downstairs with a mixture of tables
and chairs and black checked leather backed seating around the interior.
The main emphasis is on providing meals in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.
To the front and left hand side of the bar there is a small lounge area where you can enjoy a drink prior to dining.
Regular music is on play at most times. At the
weekend there is a DJ playing house, funk & soul
until 1am. The bar attracts an upmarket clientele, business
people and those visiting the Gate complex and Odeon
cinema. It has become another popular attraction in the Gate scene.
Disabled access is very
good although stairs to upper level. Toilets are small and
spotlessly clean. Check out the bars own web site
