Idols is a recently refurbished and re-launched entertainment based venue in the heart of Newcastle city centre. Situated between The Gate complex and the world famous Bigg Market, it is in a prime location within the city. The interior is modern and atmospheric with the venue on two levels. There is a bar on each level serving customers to the early hours of the morning.

There are seating areas available and a large dance floor to provide comfort and enjoyment for the whole night. The music is party orientated and all the latest chart hits.

To add to the enjoyment of the occasion, throughout the night entertainment is provided in the form of singing and dancing professionally performed by the staff.

The venue is student friendly and tries to offers our customers something new and exciting via promotions such as Fishbowl cocktails which are served at £7.95 (Inc 8 shots of spirits). Other drinks offers also include Pints from £2.00, selected bottles from £1.50 and Double Deals starting at £2.50.

On match days Idols is the only bar in the city that shows every Premiership Newcastle United game live, and for home games the pre-match entertainment is in the form of a talk in with ex-professionals such as Malcolm Macdonald, Mick Martin & John Anderson – Please call for the latest listings, Drinks from only £2.00 a pint (Carling, Worthington’s, Woodpecker)

An entry charge is applied on Saturday nights only, being £1.00 between 10.30pm and 11.30pm, increasing to £2.00 after 11.30pm.

Disabled access may be difficult with the bar being down a flight of stairs.
