MiMo is Newcastle’s premier Tiki Cocktail Bar and Kitchen, serving up an array of the most exotic rum based Tiki cocktails in a Miami-beach inspired luxury setting with a stylised beach terrace.
Located next door to Revolution Bar on Pudding Chare, MiMo offers night time revelers the very best in Balearic chill out, along with a daytime eatery, serving up a Tex-Mex inspired menu featuring locally sourced ‘real burgers’ and American style steaks.
.
The bar
that was
formerly known as the Nice Bar and more recently Clear has recently been given another
revamp in an attempt to attract new clientele. The
pub has a long narrow bar with plenty of seating throughout. The decor is very smart with bright colours
and a stylish changeable lighting system throughout.
There are huge glass doors at the front that
give a
bright and airy feel to the place. There is brick
walling on one side with a combination of wooden and
stone tiling on the floor. Opposite to the bar there
is several small booths and some further seating
with tables and chairs. At the front next to the
main entrance there is an large open area with some
high stools that can be used for standing. Regular
music is on play at most times.
The pub attracts a
mixed clientele including those heading from the Bigg
Market to the Quayside. It should become more
popular as it gets more established. There is a
small beach terrace to one side that is
heated and floodlit in the evening.
Disabled access is
very good as the bar is all on the one level.
There is also a designated toilet to the rear.
Toilets are small and clean. The bar is air
conditioned throughout.
