Review:
New medium sized bar set out over 2 floors that is the latest venue from those behind
The Apartment, Mr Lynch and As You Like It.
The main bar is located to the left of the main entrance. There is
plenty of seating throughout with high and low tables and
comfortable settees and chairs. The decor is very stylish with a Victorian and Parisian influence, a wooden floor,
brick walls and smart drop down lighting.
The large windows to the front
provide natural light to the bar during the day with wooden blinds. There are several widescreen TV's dotted about the bar with small TV's in private booths.
Upstairs there is a further bar with plenty of seating that is decked out similar to downstairs. There is a further bar and pool table. This leads onto a new outside terrace area. The upstairs is
used as a fuction room that can accomodat up to 150 persons. There is also a DJ and IPod area located on this floor.
Regular music is on play at most times.
Acoustic Sunday from 12pm with local live bands.
The bar attracts predominantly a student crowd being close to the University area. It
will also be popular with those working at the
Manor Business Park nearby. It can be quiet during the
day but is more busy on the weekend.
Disabled access is excellent with a lift to the upper level and disabled toilet downstairs. Toilets are upstairs and are small and clean.
Beers:
Stones, Caffrey's, Coors, Grolsch, Erdinger,
Carling Extra Cold and Guinness Extra Cold on tap. Woodpecker cider also available. A good range of cocktails, spirits,
bottled drinks and wine available.

Food served daily from noon - 9pm. There is the choice of
nibbles £1 (dips 25p), nachos £4.50 (chilli or spicy chicken topping £1.50 extra), jacket potatoes £3.95, bog standard sandwiches £2.90 (£2.50 to takeaway), sexy sarnies £3.60 (£3.20 to takeaway), favourite starters/snacks £2.50 - £4.50, main courses -
