Pleasant medium sized
pub which is popular with rail commuters. Can get
busy at most times, especially at the weekend. The
lower main bar has ample standing room and plenty of
seating with some high stools by the bar. There is
also a raised comfortable lounge seating area.
The decor is a mixture
of orange and green pastel c olours. The
pub has a high ceiling with dark subdued lighting. Old Newcastle pictures of past and present Newcastle
celebrities and renowned people are hung around the
walls. Regular music on play with two
CD juke boxes located at either end of the bar.
These are turned off when sporting events are shown
on the drop down big screen TV which is housed in
one corner of the bar.
The bar is air conditioned
with ceiling fans. There are table and chairs
outside pub on main station concourse. Disabled
access good. Toilets small and clean.
