Bar/Bistro that was formerly the Red Rooms (part of the Blackett Arms that closed earlier this year.
The bar is accessed up a flight of stairs with the entrance located by the side entrance to the Grainger Market.
At the top of the stairs there is a long bar to the left hand side. The bar has plenty of
seating throughout with tables and chairs for diners and more comfortable seating in a raised area opposite to the bar.
A further small seating area can be found on an upper level near to the entrance.
The decor is very modern and stylish with a mix of exposed brickwork and cream colours.
There is also several quirky furnishings with a garden style seating booth and bed seating. The walls and ceiling are adorned with vines and lighting that give a subdued comfortable atmosphere in the evening.
The pub is frequented by
business people, students, locals and shoppers at lunchtime. Regular music is
on play most of the time with a laid back atmosphere in the evening. There is a Free play jukebox in the bar.
From Saturday 24th October the bar will be the warmup for NICE the new clubnight at the newly refitted Cosmic Ballroom.
Advance Queuejumpers will be available.
Disabled access may be difficult with bar located up a flight of stairs. The toilets are small and
clean.
