Large New Orleans type
pub on two floors, with a
jazz theme.
The pub has a long bar with a part carpeted and
wooden floor, and there is ample seating throughout.
To the right hand side of the main entrance there
are some low tables and chairs. The front of the pub
has doors that open out in the summer giving the
place a pleasant and cool atmosphere. To the left
hand side of the bar there is a large area with more
comfortable leather backed seating. This leads to a
small raised area with further seating to the front.
There is a long winding staircase near the main
entrance that leads to the restaurant upstairs.
The
pub is decorated in a traditional New Orleans style
with wrought iron railings and loads of Jazz
memorabilia, New Orleans pictures and musical
instruments adorning the stairs, walls and ceiling.
There is also a large wooden statuette of a Jazz
singer that is a noticeable feature. The low drop
down lighting with smart flickering lights give an
inviting and cosy atmosphere. The pub is air
conditioned throughout with large ceiling fans. The
restaurant upstairs also has ample seating and there
is a small bar. The pub is mainly used by locals,
diners and business people. It can get very busy at
most times due to its proximity being near to the
Haymarket metro station. It is also very popular
with the young crowd Thursday to Saturday due to the
cocktails on offer.
Regular music on play at most
times. There are 2 Plasma Screens
next to the bar with Live sports shown including
live football. It
can sometimes take a while to get served with a pint
when cocktails are being made up. Check out the pubs
own web site at

Disabled access is excellent with a lift next to the ladies toilet for customers
to get to and from the restaurant. Toilets are medium sized and
clean. Look out for the piano keys on the ceiling in
the toilets.
Price:
Moderate.
