Review:
Very large glass
fronted sports bar with state of the art
décor. The pub is split over 2 levels with an
adjoining lift outside or a superb metallic
staircase inside to all floors.
The ground level has
two bars at either end with
plenty of seating on high tables to the front and
around the pillars. It is bright and airy with a
spacious standing area. Numerous widescreen plasma TV's and small TV's are are angled so that they can be viewed anywhere
in the bar making this an excellent and popular
venue for sporting events. Live football including all Sky premier matches are shown.
There is an excellent
changeable lighting system throughout. A
raised area overlooking the bar houses the DJ.
Regular music is on play at most times. Wednesday is
party night with resident DJ.
The second level
(Mezzanine bar) now has 2 pool tables (50p per play) and a small bar.
This area has further seating and a comfortable atmosphere.
The top level is now occupied by Joe's Bar & Grill which is part of Pacific. Frequented by a mixed clientele of business
people, shoppers, families, younger crowd and
students. One of the most impressive designer pubs
in town that has recently changed emphasis to a sports bar. The bar is busy at
most times and should attract the sports crowd.
A small outside seating area is open when there is fine weather.
Disabled access very good with a
designated disabled toilet. The toilets are downstairs and are very
smart and clean.
