is now on at Newcastle University
Student's Union, Kings Walk, Newcastle from 09/04/03 to 12/04/03. More than 100
real ales and ciders will be available during the festival. The festival starts
on Wednesday 09/04/03 from 6pm - 10.30pm, Thursday & Friday 10/04/03 - 11/04/03
noon - 10.30pm and Saturday 12/04/03 noon - 7pm. Admission is £2.50 to £3.00

leisure development that is currently being built on Newgate Street, which will
be known as The Gate. The five bars/restaurants are to be called Aura, Sobar,

a Latin style salsa bar and Club Havana
has opened on the Quayside on 08/08/02. It is part of the Cooperage pub and is a
new latin experience, with a new tapas menu to be introduced shortly.
The Bank
a new pub in the Pink Triangle on
Scotswood Road has recently
 opened. It is located in an old bank and has
retained the original features. It will be open from 3pm to 11pm Monday -
Saturday and Sunday 3pm - 10.30pm.
The Cluny
in the City East (Ouseburn) area has been awarded The North East pub of the year by the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA).
The Waterline
in the Quayside area has re-opened following refurbishment. The pub now has a more bright and styish look with reasonably priced and tasty meals.
