Medium sized comfortable cosy
bar that has expanded into what was formerly Quin's pub next door. There
is plenty of comfortable seating throughout with
predominantly tables and chairs. To the front of the
pub there is a raised seating area and there is also ample standing space around the
side of the bar.
The pub has large glass windows and
copper and glass flickering lights above the bar
that give the pub a bright and airy atmosphere.
There are wooden beams on the ceiling by the
main bar area with a widescreen TV above an open
fireplace. A further TV is located at the rear of
the bar. The pub is nicely
decorated in a traditional Newcastle pub style with
old Newcastle pictures and adverts on the walls.
The bar that used to be Quin's can be accessed from a
separate door outside or a connecting door at the
rear. There is a separate bar where drinks can
be obtained and there is also plenty of seating. To
the rear there is a small U shaped area with
more comfortable seating. There are further widescreen TV's
to be found in the this part of the
pub making it a good place to watch the live
sporting events. Live football and six nations rugby are
featured. Very busy at most times with mainly a local
clientele and packed on match days. Function Room
available for hire. Regular music on play at most times with a
juke box located in the centre of the pub.
Disabled access to
main bar good with the toilets at the rear of the
pub. Toilets are small and clean.
Price:
Very Reasonable.
