Review:

Small corner pub that is very popular with football supporters and >diners frequenting Chinatown. The pub has a small wooden bar with a part carpeted and wooden floor throughout. There is huge windows to the front and side which makes the pub bright and airy. Newcastle United football shirts and old memorabilia including musical instruments, adorn the walls and the ceiling. Watch out for the moving heads behind the bar and the large clock in one corner.

The bar can be busy most of the time due to its size and is especially busy at weekends. A small lounge seating area is located at the front with additional seating on high chairs to the side of the pub and by the bar. Live sporting events shown on two plasma screens and a TVabove the door, including all live football and six nations rugby. Quiz night every Sunday £1.00 entry with a cash pot for the winner. Regular music on play with two juke boxes. Several games machines are dotted about the bar.

Disabled access to main bar very good. Toilets at the rear are small and reasonable.

Price: Moderate.
