Large American theme bar in the Gate area. The bar is set out over 2 floors and is
decked out in a western style saloon bar theme. There is a
very long bar on the ground floor with a part carpeted and
wooden floor. This must be the longest bar in town. The
decor is of a modern design with smart low down drop
lighting. The upstairs is furnished in the same
style and also has a further bar with plenty of seating.
This can be accessed from stairs at the front and the
rear. There is an abundance of low and high seating and
ample standing space upstairs and downstairs.
The Sam Jack's saloon girls are featured on
stage throughout the evening and this creates a lively
atmosphere. Near to the main entrance there is a rodeo
bull ring where you can ride the bull or the shark on seected nights. There is often a
queue of customers willing to give the ride a try. A
dentists chair is also located in the centre of the bar
where party games are usually held. At the
far end of the bar is a pool table. Regular music is on
play at most times with the DJ housed in a raised area
behind the bar. Karaoke night on a Tuesday with £50 prize and free drinks for the worst singers.
Friday night live with Metro Radio from 10pm - 1am. Sunday 80's, 90's disco.

on a Thursday from 9.30pm - midnight with Dream
Machine. There are several TV's behind the bar and
western pictures beamed onto a large screen at the front.
The bar is a
popular alternative to the other bars in the Gate and it attracts custom from
the Bigg Market nearby, given its attractions on offer. Stag and hen parties are welcome any day of the week with free ride the bull and shots in the dentists chair.
Disabled
access to the bar is very good. Toilets are smart and clean.
