Review:
Medium sized pub with a
large semi circular lounge bar.The pub has plenty
of seating throughout with cushioned
backed seating to the one side. This leads through
to a much larger lounge area at the rear where there
is some further comfortable seating.
Meals are normally served there during the day.
The
pub is decked out with Newcastle United memorabilia.
It has a pleasant atmosphere with dark subdued
lighting in the evening. Regular music is on play with a juke box
located in the centre of the pub. There is a pool table to the rear of the pub and several games
machines on display. Frequented mainly by locals and
shoppers.
Live
Music
is
performed on a large raised stage area in the
corner at the rear of the pub. This is a regular feature on a
Thursday & Sunday
evening with
an advert for forthcoming bands displayed. A large
drop down screen and several TV's cover all sporting
events with live football and six nations rugby
featured.
Disabled access is very good with the pub all
on the one level. The toilets that can be accessed
either side of the bar are small and clean.
Price:
Very Reasonable.
