Popular restaurant/ bar in the upper level of the Monument Mall sister to The Alchemist in Eldon Square. The Botanist also has other restaurant bars in Leeds and Manchester with the same name.

The main bar/restaurant is upstairs up a flight of stairs or lift to the right of the main entrance. It is smartly decked out with a square shaped bar and has plenty of tables and chairs for diners.

The decor is very stylish and features the glass dome of the monument mall to the ceiling. The windows on one side of the bar overlook the Monument area.

Regular music is on play at most times with live music every night on a small stage to the right of the bar.

The bar is frequented by a mix of shoppers, diners and business people. It is busy most times of the day and it is wise to book beforehand if you are dining as I was quoted an hour before a table was available.

Table bookings can be made online click here.

Disabled access good to main bar is very good with a lift near to the entrance. The toilets are smart and clean.

Price: Moderate.
