The Eagle is a Newcastle newcoming and certainly a first in the way of a leather bar for the north east gay scene.

It's a great place to go and people-watch. Once your eyes adjust to the dark and moody interior, you can enjoy your night with a varied array of entertainment on offer.

The whole place is dimly lit and atmospheric, just perfect for that anonymous liaison.

The space is also decorated well. Inside, there's a huge main bar and a smaller basement bar. The two spaces are roughly divided by purpose.

The front room has the largest bar and the most seating including lots of bar stools and booth seating (for socialising) and has a huge plasma screen advertising forthcoming events.

The basement bar area has a smaller bar and a pool table, mini monitor screens and some bum rests to sit on, (better for cruising).

Regular entertainment includes Top Male Strippers every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Quiz night Monday. Check out the screens and the website for the weekly listings.

Price: Moderate.
