Small corner bar which is part of the Stonegate pubs chain that is a popular venue in the Gosforth scene.
The decor is of a modern style with a wooden floor and drop down cylindrical lighting over the bar. Large windows to the front and side of the pub makes the place bright and airy during the day. The pub is listed in the Good Beer Guide with a range of real ales on offer. There is a reasonably priced menu that is available daily. There is plenty of seating throughout with wooden benches, high seating and tables and chairs for diners . Live sports are shown including football and six nations rugby on widescreen TV's. Regular music is on play at most times. The pub attracts a steady crowd of regulars, locals, and business people. There is a small outside beer garden area to the side of the pub which is used in fine weather. It is busy at most times due to the reasonable menu and real ales on offer and it can be difficult to get a seat. Disabled access very good with the pub all on the one level. Toilets small & reasonable. Price: Reasonable. |
