Student bar that has recently changed it's name from Moot. The bar is the sister to Tanners which
is located further along the road.
 The bar has a stylish design and is a complete
contrast to the former more traditional pub, The Stout Fiddler.
From the main entrance the bar is opposite with cylindrical lighting above and some high stools spanning its length. There is more comfortable armchair style seating with
low tables throughout the bar. The decor is a mix of cream pastel colours with a fireplace at one end. The
emphasis is creating more of a relaxed atmosphere in which to enjoy your drink.
Regular music is on play at most
times. DJ is on play Friday to Sunday with a mix of hip hop and funk.
There is Live music featured on a certain nights in the function room downstairs.
A quiz night is held every Wednesday night. Widescreen TV's are located at either end of the bar. A pool table is
located to the rear. Killer pool competition is held every Tuesday with frees entry and a prize of a gallon of beer.
The bar should be popular with the student crowd being close to the university and with the regular music events on offer.
It should also attract the business crowd and locals with its new look and reasonably priced meals and should be busy on most nights. A small outside seating area to the side of the pub is open in fine weather.
Disabled access to the main bar is very good as it is all on the one level. Toilets are small and clean.
