Review:
Large new JD Wetherspoons Lloyds No 1 bar
that was formerly known as The Sports Cafe. The bar has been transformed and now has 3 floors with a bar on each level.
The ground floor bar is accessed directly from the main entrance and there is a long bar to the left hand side.
There are plenty of tables and chairs on
all floors for diners. The upper levels can be accessed by a large staircase near the main entrance.
Regular music is on play at most times with a dance floor at the rear of the ground floor and on the upper levels.
There are several widescreen TV's showing videos. The bar will be a very popular addition to the Central Station area
and will appeal to a mixed
clientele of students, locals, business crowd and
tourists. It shouold be very busy at all times especially at the weekend and on Thursday Curry night.
There is a small outside seating area open until 6pm that is used for smoking.
Disabled access is
excellent with a designated disabled toilet on the ground floor.
Price:
Very Reasonable. Excellent value for money.
