Small downstairs
basement bar that is the sister to the Quilted Camel
on the Quayside. The bar can be accessed down a
flight of stairs or by a lift that is located beside
the main entrance. There is a very long bar that
spans the length of pub that must be one of the
longest in town. The very dark subdued lighting and
smart changeable spotlight system give the place a
party atmosphere. This is supplemented by the
excellent music and sound system booming out at all
times.
A small dance floor is centrally located and
there is plenty of seating throughout with mainly
high stools placed around shelving and next to the
bar. The pub has a wooden floor with a partly
carpeted raised area. There is also small orange
lighting on the ceiling, running the length of the
bar. A games machine is located at one end. The pub
attracts mainly a young crowd and is busy on a
weekend with those stopping off on there way to and
from the Bigg Market.
Disabled access is very good
with a lift to access the lower level. Toilets are
immaculately clean.
Price:
Moderate.
