Review:

Medium sized corner pub that is decked out to a modern standard. The pub has a small L shaped pine wooden bar and the interior has been extended inside to give a more spacious and comfortable feel to the place. There is plenty of seating in small comfortable booths to the rear and tables and chairs in other parts of the bar. There is also some additional seating in comfortable armchairs and ample standing space.

The decoration is in a modern style with pastel red and cream colours and part wooden panelling. There is a nice pine wooden floor at the front part and carpeting to the rear of the bar. There are also several modern pictures and light fixtures on the walls with smart changeable drop down lighting throughout the pub. There is regular music on play at most times with a juke box located near to the bar. A DJ is also a regular feature on a Thursday - Sunday. Live bands appear every Wednesday. Quiz night every fortnight on a Monday. The pub attracts a steady crowd of locals, students and business people. The new look will certainly attract  some of the local business workers nearby. There are no TV's on show.

Disabled access is very good with a disabled toilet at the rear. The toilets are small and clean. There is a heated rooftop beer garden with room for 125 persons, with fantastic views over the River Tyne. A free function room is available for private hire on a Tuesday.

Price:
Reasonable.
