Small corner pub with
heavily based
Soul theme
that is one of the in student places in town. The pub
is has 2 floors and is described as the World Famous
Tent House. It has the logo "Drink here be Sincere"
on display. On the first floor there is a small bar with a
wooden floor with wooden tables and chairs to the
front and rear. There is also high backed leather
seating around the walls and some high stools next
to the bar.
The decor is basic with an array of flyers
advertising forthcoming events and a selection of
foreign currency notes on the walls. There are also
several African fitments strewn about the pub. An
unusual feature is the assortment of condoms on
display behind the bar and in a picture frame on the
wall.
Upstairs
there is a small room with a pool table and some
further
seating. This consists of aluminium tables and
chairs and high backed leather seating. Regular
music is on play at most times. In the centre of the
bar is one of the finest juke boxes in the UK which
also is free to use. There is also a TV in the
corner of the bar with all live football shown.
The bar is frequented mainly by a young student crowd and
locals. Is very busy on Newcastle United home match
days as close to the football ground. Trent House T
Shirts can be purchased on request.
Disabled access
is difficult as there are steps to the main bar and
to the room upstairs. Toilets are small and clean.
