Review:

Very large popular pub that is close to the law courts and the Travelodge Hotel. The pub serves a range of pizzas with a clay oven a central feature. There is plenty of seating available with predominantly wooden tables and chairs throughout the bar. There is also additional seating on high tables and chairs to the centre with more comfortable leather backed seating to be found in other areas of the bar.

The pub has a bright and modern colour scheme with a mixture of maroon and cream colours to the ceiling and walls and smart lighting throughout. The entrance has a glass frontage that gives a bright feel to the place. This leads on to a large seating area outside that offers splendid views of the Quayside and the River Tyne. It is extremely busy in fine weather and there are heated lamps in use when it is cooler.

Regular music is on play most of the time creating a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. A pool table is housed in the area to the right of the main bar and sports are shown on a TV near to the main entrance.  A function room available for parties/buffets is located up a flight of stairs near to the main entrance. Cash link machine is available. The pub attracts a mixed clientele of business people, and people on a night out. It is very busy most of the time, especially on the weekend with Quayside revellers.

Disabled access is very good to all parts of the pub, with a disabled toilet located to the left of the main bar. Toilets are medium sized, smart and clean.
