Medium sized bar/restaurant that was previously known as the Spital House.
There is plenty of seating throughout the bar with a menu which offers both traditional and modern British Cuisine with all dishes freshly prepared. The bar offers a good range of cask ales and craft beers with a fine selection of wines. There is a cosy atmosphere with a real open fire. The Cosy Dove offers something for everyone just a short walk from the the city centre. It's a village pub in the city. The bar attracts a steady clientele of students and locals and has become a popular venue in the Spital Tongues area. There is a large outside seating area to the front and side of the pub which is used in fine weather. There is plenty of seating throught the bar with a section for diners and some benches and tables and high tables and chairs. The bar is smartly decked out with Low drop down lighting over the bar. A quiz night is held every Monday night from 8.30pm. Free WiFi throughout bar. Free car park to the rear of the pub. Disabled access is good with the pub all on the one level and disabled toliet to the rear of the bar. Toilets are small and clean. Price: Moderate. |
