Traditional Newcastle pub from the Stonegate pubs chain .

The pub that was formerly known as Babylon, Boom, Label and more recently Retro has been given a full makeover and returned to it's former name 'The Lowther'.

The decor is a traditional style throughout with a long bar to the left of the main entrance.

There is plenty of seating throughout with ample standing space.

The side area has some additional standing space, and to the rear there is a pool table and darts board. Free pool every Sunday.

DJ on play on a Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. Quiz night on a Wednesday. Bingo every Monday.

The pub can get busy on most days throughout the week and is busy on match days.

It is also a good stopping off point on the way to the Bigg Market.

Disabled access is very good to the main bar and there is also a disabled toilet situated in an area to the side of the pub. Toilets are small and clean.

Price: Moderate.
