The main entrance leads through to a large bar that has plenty of seating throughout with large tables and benches. There is further seating to the front and along the windows with a large circular table near to the door. The decor is very stylish with a mix of exposed brickwork and wooden panels to the walls, duct pipework to the ceiling with spotlighting. The large glass windows to the front gives the bar a spacious feel during the day. The bar is popular with local students and business people as well as international travellers staying at the Youth Hostel. Live sports shown with live premiership football, England matches, World Cup 2026 and rugby Six Nations featured on widescreen TV's dotted throughout the bar. Regular music on play with resident DJ on play. Live music is featured on certain nights. A pool table is located to the rear of the bar. Outside the front there is a small seating area with metallic tables and chairs. YHA Newcastle Central offers cheap, comfortable and convenient accommodation in Newcastle Upon Tyne's city centre.
