Popular Irish club that is set out over 2 floors. The club serves an excellent pint of the black stuff - one of the best in town.
The downstairs bar has limited seating with a pool table and TV's to watch the live sport. The upstairs room is usually used for functions/parties and features live music at times. The Irish Centre attracts a steady clientele of locals, Irish visitors and is very busy on match days being close to St James Park. A Tyneside Irish Festival is held every year with Irish themed events advertised. Disabled access is good with a ramp to the front/lift upstairs and disabled toilet. Toilets are small and reasonable. Price: Reasonable. |
